Laboratory Tests: 
 
Procedure for testing Aspergillus flavus involved liquid cultures and plate cultures.
Aspergillus flavus was grown in liquid culture using YM Broth and kept in an incubator shaker at 30 degrees Celsius.
Control plates “ A.flavus alone” were cultured in Sterile PDA (Potato Dextrose Agar) spiked with A.flavus X 10^3 and Treated “A.flavus and Bio-Ion” were cultured in Sterile PDA with Bio-Ion and spiked with A.flavus X 10^3.
Plates were then incubated inverted at 30 degrees Celsius and monitored for Aspergillus flavus growth.

Even after 4 weeks of being in the incubator at 30 degrees the Bio-Ion treated PDA (Potato Dextrose Agar) spiked with A. flavus X10^3 had 0 growth while the control
'A.flavus alone' plate was TNTC (Too Numerous To Count).
